Usage
Do you feel the refrigerator isn’t chilling fast enough?
This is a common mis-conception. Most people don’t realize how long it actually takes to cool down items when placed into a cold but empty refrigerator. All of the items you may have purchased off the shelf (warm) or items that traveled from home, are generally warm by the time they are place in our refrigerator. Your home refrigerator typically never goes completely empty, so the remaining items, help to hold the cold temp. Since our refrigerator was completely empty and non-chilled items were added, it is working over time to bring the full temperature to the proper cold you’re use to.
So it does work, and things should be chilled by morning if the door is not continually being opened.
If you need to cool the refrigerator quicker, get a bag ice and place a large bowl (or 2) full of ice in the refrigerator to help chill the warmer items faster.
If the freezer is not cold AND the refrigerator light does not come on when the door is open, please check that it’s plugged in, check the kitchen GFI plus and the breaker switch on the front patio to ensure a breaker wasn’t overloaded, and reach out to me again if you have any concerns.
